This is one of my favorite campgrounds we have visited. The tubing (as of 2022) costs $10 a day per tube and we rode it multiple times. The waterfall is relaxing and is very easy to get to (by foot or tube). They have 4 hot tubes that are set at different temperatures; from 95 -105. The pool is heated and they also have a toddler pool area. The bunnies are all around the campground and know when you have a bag of rabbit food. The "nature trail" is short and does not have a defined end, so you will see tracks leading in several directions and even up as past travelers (and I) tried to determine "is this still the nature trail?". The staff is friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this campground. ~ Jody R
This was the best campsite ever! NO mosquitoes (not sure why, but there weren't any), the camp ground has wild bunnies everywhere that are tame enough to eat out of your hand, two large playgrounds, a jumping pillow, lake for fishing, large pool and a kiddie pool, hot tubs, tubing, miniature golf course, and even a billiards room. Follow the river and you will come to a waterfall. Really the website should be updated and have better pictures of all these great aspects to the campsite. Make sure you bring your own grill to put over your fire pit. The washroom nearest our tent didn't have hot water most of the nights we were there. They were obviously trying to get it fixed. We had a longer hike to the "upper" washroom but it was worth a hot shower. I HIGHLY recommend staying here. I would love to come back one day and stay longer. ~ Sarai R
We camped on 8/5/21- The staff were wonderful! 2. The Bunnies were just what we needed, therapeutic peaceful pretty animals hopping about just lovely!3. The waterfall was beautiful we camped near it in a tent, ALL facilities were clean!!!,It is very busy there but such beautiful surrounding it was fine and the other campers were nice one man helped me out of the river, the river tubing was the best ( some areas are shallow just walk with your tube to the areas that you can tube through), batteries do run down there bring extra cell phone chargers & WiFi not as good. **Night time is Mysterious at the tent sights perfect atmosphere for telling ghost stories around the campfire! **Pool is good, hot tubes are great- the staff keep them clean and nice around the clock, playground is cute, fishing pond is neat.. so much to do!very cool! ~ xx_Itznotally X
Beautiful nature The feel of the wilderness with convenience of home necessities. Glamping Can get food on-site until 5:00pm Trailers available for $130 a night with multiple beds for kids, family, friends, and has a bathroom, kitchenette with fridge/freezer combo microwave, table with bench seating, cable tv, DVD player, A/C, Fire pits, picnic benches, awning. Can purchase Firewood đŸȘ” Tubing kayaking Such a great place to bring kids for the summertime or really any time that has nice weather. Even if it's a little chilly it would be nice to walk the trails, enjoy roasting marshmallows and smores, enjoy the indoor space with jacuzzis. It is still possible to have a good time with weather not being ideal also, so no need to leave or cancel because of rain or colder weather. Definitely a new favorite spot for me. ~ Jasmine R
Was here this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. While the spots are small and somewhat cramped it doesn’t detract from the overall experience. My biggest complaint would be the exceptionally limited number of full hookups. They have a honey wagon service, but don’t offer it on the day of checkout. If you’re on the back row (where I was) you’re dumped onto the exit *after* the dump station, so you have to loop completely around and wait in a long line. A minor complaint, though — just something to note. Rabbits abound, there’s a neat fishing pond, the river views are beautiful, the grounds are well kept, all of the fellow campers were very courteous and friendly. There is tons to do while you’re here (inner tubes for floating the river, fishing, food, dancing at the pavilion, minigolf, a heated pool, well stocked camp store). I’ve already booked my return stay! ~ Caleb P
We are staying here, and after 4228 miles this is my favorite R V- Campground. We are from Central Point Oregon, on a cross country luv, our country tour. I wish I could have talked my hubby into more days. He is on a schedule and will not bend. We luv this place. No complaints. CLEAN, beautiful, quiet, beautiful, peaceful, good food, friendly, beautiful. Good level sites, they also have the BEST home made cheeseburgers. Nice to have someone cook for us after a long drive. Yes, this is our FAVORITE campground. I so hope we can come back some day. Thanks to the owners for the bunnies, they made us smile and laugh. With all my health problems, I so enjoyed the simple fun of seeing the bunnies. Thanks for such a lovely place to recover from the hectic week in DC. You have a wonderful campground. God Bless and thank you. Ken and Sharon Myres. ~ Sharon M
We had a great time at Shenandoah Valley Campground! The location by the river was perfect, and we loved being able to enjoy the water so easily. Tubing was one of the highlights of our trip – it was so much fun, and the rental fee of just $10 was very reasonable. Another bonus was the affordable firewood, which made our campfires even more enjoyable. If you’re planning to visit, we highly recommend the non-hookup sites right by the river. They offer beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere – definitely the best spots in the campground! Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back again. This is a great place to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommended! ~ kiran a
Our little family had a great time here this weekend. We rented a cabin, which was super cute. We really enjoyed the big porch and glider, even sleeping out there one night. We loved the little float on the river, played at the waterfall, fed the bunnies, played mini golf, played at the play ground, went swimming, and overall had a most excellent time. The only downsides I can see is that the food in the store is pretty bad, so I wouldn't plan on making that a menu staple. The bathrooms got trashed but it was Labor Day weekend so that is to be expected. They were totally packed out. The staff was kind and helpful. We'll be back. ~ Erin S
Such a great weekend! Celebrated the end of Summer with friends and family. We rented 3 of the campers owned by the campground. We enjoyed that they were each different, but were SO happy with ours, #9. With a queen bedroom (actually a great mattress for back pain) and another room at the other end of the camper with a bunkbed and futon there was more than enough sleeping space. Clean and functional kitchen was great to have. Camper has a full bath, but the bath house (with bathrooms and showers) are right across the path. The campers are not brand new, but are in good condition. This camper was easily the best location if you have kids. Right next to the heated pool, mini golf, and arcade. We loved the cafe for breakfast each morning...also very close. Staff were absolutely wonderful. This was our first visit to SVC, but we've already planned our 2023 trip with an even larger group. Couldn't be better :) ~ Lindsay H
This campground has so much natural beauty. It is enclosed around a bend of Middle River with a gorgeous waterfall. Fishing can be done in the river or their pond. The pool boasts 85 degree temperature and I am here to attest that this is absolutely true! When the pool is open, it is a comfortable 85. The camp sells several food items, but their everything pizza is, by far, our favorite. The rates are very reasonable. We have camped here off and on for 2 years now. The campground staff is always friendly, courteous, and very helpful. I think this is a campground to add to your favorite list. I know it is one of our favorites. ~ Anita M
All in all a truly wonderful experience. My kids were occupied the entire time, the Campground was extremely clean and the atmosphere was friendly and they also had a lot of different activities to offer. My husband said the fishing pond was overfishing and he wasn't able to catch anything and didn't see anyone else catch anything, nor did anyone else catch anything while he was up there. He did catch a few things in the river though. Truly a wonderful weekend and we will most definitely be back. We will probably make this Campground our home away from home. ~ Shyeinne B
We only stayed here one night, but would definitely recommend! We pulled in late (after midnight) and the pull-through spot was easy to pull into/out of. Getting into the campground, you do have to go down a winding, downhill forest road, which was a little unnerving at night. But when we woke up the next morning, boy was it a lovely site! Also - rabbits! This campground is full of wild, domesticated-type rabbits! It was a pleasant surprise when we woke up in the morning and the kids enjoyed feeding and interacting with them. We would stay here again. ~ Bobbi J
Enjoyed our stay again at this campground! Their amenities gave us plenty to do including miniature golf, game room activities, making campfire s'mores, swimming in the pool, and tubing down the river! Met some really nice people who camp here often. The only negative was that the hot tubs were not open this time because of higher outside temps. You can rent the tubes and golf carts at their office/store where you can also get pizza and other foods at their snack bar. Feels like you're in the country, but grocery store, gas stations, and restaurants are only a few minutes away! ~ Penny R
The power was out Friday when we got there. You couldn't use the pool. The sights had power but not the main building. There was no refund for lack of amenities. The river access is very limited and there is only access from a few sights. We specifically called and asked if it was ok to bring our kayaks. We where told yes but the river is so low in there rental tubes that you'd be doing a lot of walking so keep your kayaks at home. Not my favorite spot when there are some many others around that are way nicer. The sights are very small and limited to how you can set up ~ Jonathan S
What an amazing place for our first camping trip with our new trailer. Guys leveled our site and helped my son in law set up our trailer for the first time!! Then Junior and the team helped us when my son in laws truck broke where we could not drive the trailer home. Junior stepped in and said they would move it from the site for us and store it until we could get the truck fixed and come back to get it. The best people, clean place to stay. My grandson’s birthday was Sunday and he had so much fun fishing and dancing to the DJ. We will be back!! ~ Chris O
I loved staying here! Friendly employees, lots to do and see! Yes it was a little tight fitting on the weekend, but well worth it for a campground that has its very own waterfall! The bunnies are just an added bonus for kids, and animal lovers alike! Just so folks know, those bunnies...a lot of them are rescue bunnies, that now have a beautiful loving place to be with kids galore to enjoy them. Thank you SVC for a lovely few days. Oh and your security guard rocks too, we clicked, and she was very informative 👌 🐰 🐇 🏕 â›ș đŸ„Ÿ ~ Dawn C
We have stayed at SVC for 1-3 weekends over the last 8 years or so. We enjoy renting the campers that they have there. This last weekend we stayed and our toilet fill line sprung a leak. We were without water for half of the stay because we had to turn the water off. Everyone from the office staff to housekeeping and maintenance were so helpful and accommodating! While it was an inconvenience for a little while, things break and that’s understandable. We appreciated the staff’s willingness to help us out. We will be back again in October! ~ Tim D
Tubing the Middle River right within the campground and a hanging out by the beautiful waterfall is our favorite thing to do. Lots of activities available to keep kids entertained, .initial golf, arcade, playground, and heated swimming pool. This place gets crowded starting on Friday-Sunday. We prefer the quietness of camping here during the week instead. There is a stocked lake or the river to fish as well. Forget having Wi-Fi here, even though advertised, it does not work. ~ Dawn B
Family friendly camp grounds with all the amenities. This was our second trip there. We tent camp with water and electric hook up. I dont recommend site 27 or 28. They are on a slope to the no-hookup tent sites. Though we made lot 27 work this time as we forgot the lay out of the campgrounds since it had been 3 years since our last visit. Bunnies are everywhere and they are so cute! They make me want to walk around the grounds all day. The grounds offer several amenities: golf carts, river tubing, pool (and a kiddie pool too), bathrooms, individual non-gendered showers, hot tubs, laundry room, camp kitchen, they have a volleyball net, a lake for fishing (that is stocked), basket ball hoop, play ground, a game room, a large covered picnic area (with live music on saturday nights and church service Sunday mornings), and a snack bar. There is barely any cell service at the sites but they do have service by the store. I hope they update/improve the showers and bathrooms before we go again though. Showers are uncomfortable need more light and better clothing hooks. ~ jessica o
We made a mistake and ended up at the wrong campground ( same name) it was after five thirty when we arrived. They were understanding, nice, and gave us a sight close to the gorgeous waterfall!! We took a walk to see it after dinner and saw lots domestic bunnies hopping around!! Great place to stay, quiet and friendly people. Easy to access not far off the highway but far enough to be quiet. The other place was rude when we called to apologize. Stay here instead! ~ Roger M
This place was very nice. Cleanest bathrooms of any campground Ive ever been to. Free, hot showers. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. It is definitely worth the money to gwt a waterfront site. A note, I stayed here on a weekday and there was no one staying in the tenting area other than us. The sites were really small, and very close together so on a busy weekend dont expect much privacy. That being said, if ever in the area again I will most certainly return. ~ Alyssa T
What an awesome place! It’s absolutely beautiful! The staff are just wonderful! They have Clean bathrooms and showers, there are bunnies hoping all around the property, and they even sell rabbit food to feed them 😃 There is a river that you can tube down to that leads to a waterfall that is breathtaking! It’s very family friendly: I can’t say enough great things! We found our forever place to camp 😀 ~ Sofia k
We had a fabulous time! The ladies in the office are very friendly and helpful. Beautiful waterfall, tubing, putt putt, nice playgrounds, basketball, volleyball, hot tub room(4), heated pool, comfortable beds, and fishing lake. Couldn't ask for more. The bunnies are cute but they’re overtaking the place. Holes and bunny poop covers everything
playground, putt putt, everywhere. But it was a great place and we’ll be back! ~ Happy G
This is our favorite local campground. The waterfall there is beautiful, which of course you can't find anywhere else! The pool is heated, so it is comfortable even in the spring and fall, in addition to the hot tubs. The whole atmosphere is family and dog friendly. We have been camping here for 3 years now, just made our first visit this year, and It was a great time, as expected! My husband enjoys fishing in the river, they also have a stocked pond/lake, but he's caught huge trout in the river! My youngest daughter wanted to take our camper for her birthday, and the staff was especially welcoming and sweet to her, once they heard she was turning 7. The shower and restroom facilities are always clean and well cared for, and enjoy the DJ on Friday & Saturday nights, as well as the pancake breakfast on weekend mornings. Last but not least, don't forget all of the bunny rabbits, all over! We bring baby carrots to feed them, which they absolutely love, although the store does sell bags of pellet rabbit food, you will have all the rabbits visiting you with the baby carrots, and most of them will take it right out of your hand! ~ Katie S
